"Skimming" is a term
used by TGP webmasters when directing you to another TGP or a sponsor instead
of the actual gallery that you wanted.
For the most part, this is almost
bearable by the surfer as long as they ultimately end up at the gallery they
wanted to see. However some TGP's insist on re-directing you somewhere between
80-100% of the time.
In cases where the skimming just becomes too much
to handle, you can usually bypass their re-direct, if they have the actual
gallery URL included in the link.
Many sites direct you to a link such
as "/out.php?url=http://www.SomeSite.com/gallery/1.html".
If that is the
case, you are in luck! instead of clicking the link normally, try right
clicking on the link, and selecting "Copy URL" or "Copy link location",
depending on your browser.
Now, press CTRL+T to open a new tab, and
CTRL+V (paste) the URL in the address bar, taking care to strip out all of the
stuff before and after the actual desired URL.
This should take you
directly to the gallery you wanted to go to in the first place, and now you
only have to hope the movies/images don't suck! ;)
