ThumbBuzz

Accessibility

This site should work for everyone.

Our commitment, what we've done, and how to tell us when something falls short.

Our commitment

ThumbBuzz wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we've built in

  • Text and background colours that meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
  • Every page usable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
  • A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page
  • Proper headings, landmarks, and labels for screen readers
  • Buttons and links large enough to tap easily on a phone
  • Text that scales when you zoom, with no sideways scrolling
  • Reduced motion respected when your device asks for it
  • Plain language everywhere. No jargon walls

Known limitations

Some parts of the site load content from other services, like embedded videos, forms, and our chat widget. We choose those services with accessibility in mind, but we don't fully control them. As we add video content, we will caption it.

Found a problem?

If anything on this site is hard to use with your setup, we genuinely want to know, and we'll fix what we can quickly.

We aim to reply to accessibility reports within 3 business days.
